Canyon de Chelly National Monument

Some of my favorite, but lesser known, Ansel Adams photographs were taken at what is now Canyon de Chelly National Monument in the Najavo Nation. The way the light played across the sweeping vistas of winding canyons sparked my imagination of cowboy lands. Though, my absolute favorite is the portrait of Georgia O'Keeffe and Orville Cox. In search of the location of my all time favorite photograph, I made sure to stop by Canyon de Chelly on my Four Corners roadtrip this past winter break. Maybe the light in that part of the world is magical all the time, or maybe I just lucked out. Here are just a few of the fantastic photographs I got to capture of the canyon covered in snow.
